Dear Dance Family,
For those of you who love the dance t-shirts that are available at the Stardust Dance weekends, Denise LaBella has sent me her catalogs and order forms so you can customize your own shirts. She will be in town toward the end of October. Please let me know if you are interested so I can give you a catalog.
On a personal note... being unemployed again has given me more time to dance. Scott Lappin and I will be dancing locally on the 8th of October for the Spanish and Argentine night at Hugh's Catering. I'm also helping out in the office at Hugh's Catering. Anyone having a party needs to check out the Gourmet To Go section of Hugh's website. It will take all of the work out of cooking for a party. Pick it up or have it delivered... no problem! www.hughsgourmettogo.com
Please let them know that you heard about it from me! Call the office to talk to a live person, (954) 563-4844.
Special and future events are back in date order this week. Scroll down for all the info. There is plenty to do this Saturday no matter where you live!

For those of you looking for a combination of dinner and dancing, check out Zia restaurant. Zia is located at 4350 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens FL 33410. It adjoins the Embassy Suites hotel at the I-95 exit. I enjoyed a delicious lunch there several weeks ago and toured the restaurant and lounge. The touches of stained glass and bamboo create an elegant yet relaxing ambiance. The dancefloor in the lounge is triangular and is good for spot dances, some of you creative ballroom folk would have fun trying to adapt without that fourth wall! They have live music on Wednesdays from 4 - 8 PM and Friday/Saturday from 5 - 9 PM. Dinner is served from 4 - 10 on Wed. and 4 - 11 on Fri/Sat. with a late night menu available. Chef Herbert has offered a choice of a complimentary appetizer, dessert, or glass of wine with the purchase of any entree. This offer is good for up to four entrees and one glass of wine per person. For more details please call 561-627-2535 or visit their website at www.restaurantzia.com Please see me at the Civic Center dance for a discount card or print this dance news note and let them know that "Lisa Berger sent you"... this is not a secret password, just a way to know how you found them! <G>
There are other dances going on and we are very lucky to have all of these choices. You can find a lot more dance and class information on the calendar of the SFSDS, www.sfsds.com . Let's support as many as we can. Let's have a positive week and remember to count our blessings every day.
More special dinner events are happening during the month of September at Hugh's Catering. Most of these dinners sell out in record time. There will be other events here on a regular basis. The price has been reduced from $75 per person to $55 per person. This is an amazing deal that includes dinner and unlimited drinks from 7 to 10 PM. Once you experience a night at Hugh's, it will be your new favorite night out... guaranteed! The new facility at 4351 NE 12th Terrace in Oakland Park is sure to impress. Please contact me for more information and to reserve your space for the next special night. This place will blow you away... I love it! If you are interested in going, please e-mail me. Hope to see some of you there.
Once again, I would like to thank all of you for your notes and kind words about my weekly note. It started small and has now grown to a long letter! I will continue in this "labor of love" as long as I get the positive feedback that it is something you enjoy. With the gift of our new website, I will be sending out the link and updates once I figure out how to help Geoff with all of the work. Right now, it is his gift to the dance community in his spare time. THANKS GEOFF! Check it out at www.localdanceevents.com . Bringing joy to others lives is one of the best gifts that each of us can share. Let's keep up the random acts of kindness and continue to make our world a better place one smile at a time.
Happy Dancing!
Hugs, Lisa ;-)
